Press conference in the football manager – guide
This guide explains the “Press conference” screen in Gaffer's Desk, the free football manager in your browser. Before every matchday the press asks a question. Your squad hears the answer too - and the opponent is reading along.
Terms
- Reserved
- A small, safe morale gain for your own squad.
- Confident
- Noticeably more morale for you - but it fires up the opponent as well.
- Demanding
- No effect before the match: a win gives a lot of morale, a defeat costs some.
Good to know
- How strongly an answer works depends on the situation – whether you are favourites or underdogs, playing away, in a crisis or defending a run.
- The answer applies to exactly the next match and cannot be changed.
- Morale affects performance through daily form - noticeable, but never decisive on its own.
- What you said appears in the club paper the next day.
