Opponent dossier in the football manager – guide
This guide explains the “Opponent dossier” screen in Gaffer's Desk, the free football manager in your browser. What can be seen about your next opponent from the outside - so the tactical sliders are not guesswork.
Terms
- Form
- The last five results of the opponent, each with a replay button where available.
- Record
- Wins/draws/losses and goals - overall and split by home and away.
- Head to head
- Your previous meetings, counted from your point of view.
- Lineup strength
- Average effective strength of the eleven likely to start - fitness and morale included.
- Probable lineup
- The eleven that would start with the saved tactics of the opponent (premium).
- Most dangerous players
- The three with the most goal involvements this season (premium).
- Weather
- The forecast for the venue. Rain, snow, frost, wind and heat change the game - what exactly is listed right below. It affects both teams alike, but teams that run a lot suffer more in the heat, and teams that play high balls suffer more in the wind.
Good to know
- Form, record, table position and lineup strength are visible to everyone.
- The lineup, formation and key players of the opponent are part of the premium subscription.
- Fitness, morale, wages, market value and potential of players at other clubs always stay hidden - a dossier is an outside observation.
